Nick Winder

Software & AI Developer

about

I'm Nick Winder, a software and AI developer with 13 years of experience across media, enterprise software, and developer tooling. I currently work at Nutrient (formerly PSPDFKit), where I led the release of the company's first AI product and have been deep in MCP and agentic system design.

Before that I spent time hacking on Linux kernel stuff, building C++ SDKs, and generally learning things the hard way. I've shipped production systems in C++, Java, C#, and JavaScript — sometimes all in the same week.

This blog is where I write about things I'm actively working on or thinking about: AI tooling, developer workflows, building things that actually work in production. I try to be honest about what breaks and what doesn't.

I also maintain a small collection of Claude Code plugins and skills that I use day-to-day. Some of them end up as blog posts when they turn out to be genuinely useful.
